Just wanted to say thank you for the response so far, whatever it has been. I suppose the worst thing that could have happened is for no one to pay attention at all.

There's a bit of a pot to donate now so I will start sending some payments to the various charities shortly. I'll update here with screenshots so you can see where your money went. I really appreciate the donations to date and any that come in the future. There are very few victims' charities in the US and health care costs are incomprehensible to me.
